How’s DX?
Bob W9EWZ reports that DX conditions on the hf bands were quite variable through August with some periods of excellent
world-wide communications despite the generally degraded propagation associated with high summer absorption.

MDXC-funded DXpedition to N5J - Jarvis Island produced nearly 107,000 QSOs with strong MDXC participation.
Two MDXC members worked N5J on 23 of 25 possible band-mode slots as shown on the ClubLog Logs Hosted Webpage.

MDXC-funded DXpedition to CY9C - St. Paul Island produced nearly 115,000 QSOs also with strong MDXC participation.

DXing on 6 meters has been generally poor throughout the last month. One interesting possibility is that Lance Collister-W7GJ has
arrived on Tristan da Cunha and will be QRV until October 3rd as ZD9GJ on 6-meter EME and looking for NA terrestrial contacts via TEP.

HF conditions are expected to improve as we approach Fall, and 6-meter TEP and F2 may be possible.

MDXC Funding of DXpeditions
While there are many expeditions worthy of funding, MDXC has very limited funds available and must choose projects carefully.
Rather than considering only those who have submitted funding requests, expeditions relatively high on the Most Wanted List and
those offering particularly-needed band or mode operations should be emphasized. So-called "vacation expeditions" are to be avoided.
Several DXpeditions were considered for MDXC funding.

New Business:
Club members approved $100 for the V7 Marshall Islands 2025 DXpedition effort by a group of young DXers. ( No Website yet )

Club members approved $100 for the S21DX DXxpedition to Bangladesh in December.
S21DX Expedition to Bangladesh

Additionally, W9EWZ made a $100 donation of to the C21MM-Nauru Island DXpedition in the name of the Madison DX Club. - Thanks Bob!
C21MM DXpedition to Nauru

There were no motions to fund either the XT2MD DXpedition to Burkina Faso or the S9Z DXpedition to Sao Tome and Principe.

Program:
